Calling all fans of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival who love to perform and entertain a crowd!  If you enjoy being on stage and want to have fun – this is your event!  Compete for cash prizes in our NEW event this year – Vocal Interpretations – a lip sync contest during the 2023 Saint Paul Winter Carnival.  Compete to your favorite song as a solo artist or in a small group.  The top competitors from preliminaries on January 26^th will move on to the final competition on January 29^th.  Bring your family and friends to cheer you on as you lip sync the night away!  See the details below for more information.

Preliminaries:  Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Warming House stage

Finals:  Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at the Main Stage in Rice Park, emceed by E White of 101.3 KDWB Radio!

Prizes:

1^st Place:  $100 cash

2^nd Place:  $75 cash

3^rd Place:  $50 cash

Rules and Regulations

• FREE TO ENTER!
• Vocal Interpretations is open to adults ages 21 and older. Groups may not exceed 5 persons.
• Each Individual/Group will be allowed to perform one song no longer than 4 minutes. A sound system will be provided for the music to be played on.
• Judging will be based upon appearance, stage presence, costumes/props, choreography, song choice, and lip sync accuracy. Have fun with it!
• The Saint Paul Winter Carnival reserves the right to refuse unacceptable entries. Inappropriate language, actions or dress will not be permitted.
• Contestants must report to the stage area no later than 15 minutes prior to start time.

Just show up 15 minutes early and we will make it work!
