King Boreas Grand Day Parade Theme & Awards
The King Boreas Grand Day Parade will not have an overall theme in 2018. We are, however, requiring all parade participants with vehicles to decorate their entry (support vehicles need to be decorated, but don’t have to be fully covered). Suggestions for decoration themes include:
- Theme of your festival/community/business
- Sports/Football/Super Bowl theme
- Winter theme
Two awards will be given for the Grand Day Parade. Entries will be judged during parade lineup and winners will be escorted by a banner announcing their award and will also receive a plaque after the conclusion of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival.
King Boreas Award: Awarded to the best decorated visiting royalty entry
Vulcanus Rex Award: Awarded to the best decorated commercial/community entry
All Grand Day Parade entries with vehicles (including support vehicles) are encouraged to decorate for the 2018 Grand Day parade.

One waiver must be filled out by each participant in your parade unit. Completed waivers may be emailed to email@example.com prior to the start of the parade.
