Rice Park is a winter wonderland throughout all of Saint Paul Winter Carnival.  It is free and open to the public.  Highlights include ice sculptures on display, sit in a Royal Throne made of ice, view the Ice Castle Sponsor Wall,  live entertainment on the Rice Park stage, vendor booths and other activities.

It is decorate with beautiful lights and greenery.

And, if you’re so inclined, enjoy a Summit beer or Cannon River wine at the ice bar!

Immediately following the Torchlight parade, on the steps of the James J. Hill Library near Rice Park. Multi-Block Ice Carving Competition

The 2018 Multi-Block Ice Carving Competition starts Thursday, January 25 and ends Saturday, January 27. Each contestant or team will be given 48 hours and 20 blocks of ice sized approximately 40" x 20" x 10" to complete their ice sculpture.
