Enhance your participation with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival by joining the Festival Committee! Committee members are an integral part of the planning process for annual Carnival activities, from theme days to volunteer needs to Legend events.

Work with the Festival office to manage applications, answer parade emails, enter applications into a database and create the line up for the Parade. Day of execution will include checking in units, working with volunteers, and the operations staff.
The Coordinator will work with local businesses to secure and recruit vendors for pre- and post-event activities, and provide discounts and specials for race participants. Help with organization of the event, and be a day of contact at the event. Some meetings are during business hours.
Join the nations largest puzzle competition team, this sell out event is an iconic Winter Carnival tradition. Duties include managing registration, communicating with puzzle teams, set up for the competition, finding prizes, and managing the competition the day of with the puzzle vendor.
Build excitement around one of the Winter Carnival’s integral themes by incorporating new ideas into this fun theme night. Organize activities for children and families inside Landmark Center that may include appearances by Frozen’s Ana & Elsa, family-friendly entertainment, contests, games and more!
Our “Freeze Your Bags Off Tournament” occurs on the final Friday and Saturday of Winter Carnival. 16 teams compete in single elimination tournaments, and the overall winner of each tournament wins prizes. The Frozen Bags Tournament Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the tournament.
Our Global Market is a celebration of international cultural, goods, and cuisine. Vendors representing countries from all over the world can sell their homemade food and goods. This event is free to attendees and also includes cultural performances and activities for children. The Global Market Coordinator will oversee the event and its logistics.
Our Hops & Hounds event celebrates having a beer with your favorite 4-legged friend. During this specific day, dog owners can bring their pets to the Winter Carnival and enjoy various activities with them along with drink specials. The Hops & Hounds Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the event and coordinating event details.
Our Opening Night Ceremony is the official kick-off of carnival. Ceremony activities include free treats for attendees and special guest appearances. Our coordinator will oversee the ceremony and its logistics.
Photographers help capture all the Winter Carnival events and moments. Photos are used for our website, future promotional events, and for the public to view.
The Saint Paul Winter Carnival features a month-long digital ice fishing competition. Individuals can fish anywhere in the seven-county metro: lakes, ponds, and rivers. The Ice Fishing Tournament Coordinator will oversee event logistics including prize giveaways and working with our fishing app vendor.
