Saint Paul is located approximately 30 minutes from the Minneapolis/Saint Paul airport and is easily accessible by car or bus. Enjoy the festivities and then set out to enjoy Saint Paul and all that it has to offer. The majority of our events take place in and near Rice Park in downtown Saint Paul. We also have many events at the MN State Fairgrounds (about 10 miles from Rice Park) and throughout Saint Paul.
Many of our events are low or no cost. The majority of the activities at Rice Park and the snow park are free. Landmark Center activities including Kids’ Day and Family Day, an ice palace replica and memorabilia display are free as well. Visit our calendar page to review activities and cost.
Guaranteed Parking – Reserve your spot for the Winter Carnival today!
We have partnered with Parking Panda, the nationwide leader in online parking reservations, to allow visitors to purchase guaranteed parking at many convenient locations in downtown Saint Paul for the 2018 Saint Paul Winter Carnival.
Once purchased, parking passes are emailed instantly and guarantee you access to your selected location. Parking is very limited and locations fill up, so we strongly recommend that you reserve your 100% guaranteed parking space now! Parking Panda does not reserve handicapped parking spots. Non-Reserved Parking Information
With over 20,000 parking spaces in downtown Saint Paul it is easy to come and enjoy the festivities. Visit St. Paul Smart Trips for ramp and rate information. Many of the festivities take place near Rice Park and/or the Landmark Center (75 W. 5th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102).
Don’t care to drive? Visit Metro Transit to plan your trip, get maps, schedules and fare information. Click on the link to the right to get a free ride to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. The pass is good for February 4 from Noon until 10 p.m.!
Use the Green Line to see all of Saint Paul. The 10th Street Station and the Central Station are closest to Rice Park, where most carnival activities are centered. It’s 3-4 blocks to Rice Park from the Central Station – just walk up the hill on 5th Street to the Landmark Center – you will see a building that looks like a castle with a green rooftop and the skating rink.
