Wonderfully presented by Tommy Barrett and the Grand Avenue Business Association with pieces from Wally Wescott of Wescott Station Antiques on West 7th, this is an amazing display of Winter Carnival items throughout the years.
As Grand Avenue gears up to host the Winter Carnival’s King Boreas Grande Day Parade again in 2026, window displays show off more than a century and a half of carnival history.
On display at the corner of Grand and Victoria Street, in the former Pottery Barn, are Boreas and Vulcanus Rex capes and parade marching uniforms, various photos and newspaper clippings from decades ago and dozens of Carnival buttons dating back to 1886, the Winter Carnival's inaugural year. The display is extra amazing at night when the lights are on. Make a plan to stop by and see it before February 1st.
