140th Photo Contest

We are excited to announce the 140th Anniversary Saint Paul Winter Carnival Photo Contest!

Volunteer judges evaluate entries, and awards are given in the following categories:
Youth Age 18 and Under

Adult

• Photos are encouraged to be submitted electronically by the entry form. Photos submitted electronically must be a high-resolution JPG with a 5MB maximum size.

• Each photo entry should indicate the photographer’s name, the photo title and any other details.
• The Saint Paul Winter Carnival reserves the right to remove from the contest any submitted image that depicts illegal, unsafe, potentially offensive or otherwise inappropriate content, advertising, or any other content that the Winter Carnival deems contrary to the goals and intent of the contest.
• All decisions by the judges are final.
• Contest organizers reserve the right to re-categorize or disqualify any entry.
• Submissions received after the entry deadline will not be eligible.

By submitting, contestants agree to the following:
I hereby give permission to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival or anyone authorized by the Saint Paul Winter Carnival to use and/or reproduce my submitted image for any purpose, including multimedia publications (print, internet, broadcast television, presentations and
internal use) without compensation to me. The Saint Paul Winter Carnival will make every reasonable effort to ensure the image's creator is appropriately credited when the image is used.
• I understand that my submission may be used in its entirety or in part and may be revised, modified or combined with other images for use by the Saint Paul Winter Carnival and its designees.
• I understand that any digital images submitted will become and remain the property of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival.
• I understand that any digital images submitted may be reviewed by the public and may be displayed in Saint Paul Winter Carnival facilities.
• I have received permission from all person(s) in the photograph(s) to use their image as part of my entry into the 140th Saint Paul Winter Carnival Photo Contest.
• I certify that the photos I submitted are unique and original, taken by me, and do not infringe upon any copyright or patent.
• I certify that I have read and understand the rules of the contest.

Awards
Winners will be notified by phone or email and announced/recognized online and on social media. Information contained in these official rules is for reference only and subject to change. The Saint Paul Winter Carnival reserves the right to revise, amend or repeal these contest rules at any time.
