QOS Selection Committee Liaison Application

The Queen of the Snows (QOS) Selection Committee Liaison position provides structure and support for the selection committee members of the QOS program throughout the candidacy with a focus on judge recruitment and coordination from start to finish of the candidacy. Participation is required from approximately August to February, with increased time commitments during the candidacy program. Members are expected to demonstrate a commitment to the success of the program through an honoring of the history, a future-focused lens, the development of women in our community, and the mission and vision of the Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation (SPFHF). Applications will be reviewed starting on August 15, until the position is filled. Virtual interviews will be scheduled as well. Questions? Submit to lisaj@spfhf.org.
Key responsibilities:
 Serve as lead for QOS selection committee members.
 Provide direction and support to selection committee members.
 Work with the QOS Candidate Chair to coordinate schedules and relay any important messages between the QOS Candidate Chair and the QOS Selection Committee.
 Respond to any committee issues.
 Convene meetings with selection committee members and request rooms/refreshments for these from SPFHF.
 Deliver final envelopes to the SPFHF office safe, ensuring the utmost privacy and confidentiality of the names in the envelopes.

Important attributes of the QOS Selection Committee Liaison Role include:
 Strategic thinking skills, ability to convey the vision and manage multiple components and members; future state and outcomes focused
 Ability to synchronize the components of the selection program
 Creativity to identify barriers and develop options; resiliency and ability to navigate challenging situations
 Ability to communicate effectively
 Presentation and facilitation skills in large and small groups
 Ability to remain neutral in challenging situations, navigating them with a professional and confidential demeanor.
 Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest levels of privacy and confidentiality.
