The eagerly awaited 2018 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt, presented by Fury Jeep, will begin with publication of the first clue in Pioneer Press editions of Sunday, January 21st, 2018 and on TwinCities.com, the digital home of the hunt.
The hunt, a Saint Paul tradition since 1952, challenges readers to solve daily clues and be the first to find the medallion hidden on public land in Ramsey County. The successful hunter could win up to $10,000.
A new Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt clue will be published daily through Thursday, February 1st, 2018, unless the medallion is found before that date.
To qualify for the full $10,000 prize award, the individual who finds the medallion must return it promptly to the Pioneer Press, have a registered 2018 Saint Paul Winter Carnival Button (postmarked or registered online by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 19th, 2018. Please note that the button ID is printed on the button card, therefore all buttons purchased online after Tuesday, January 16th can not be guaranteed for delivery before the January 19th, 2018), and the daily clues clipped or copied from the Pioneer Press or Twincities.com. (Please Note: Groups or hunting partners may not share a registered button. In addition, the Pioneer Press will recognize one winner with one prize. If the finder chooses to share the prize award, it will be his or her responsibility to do so.)
Buttons may continue to be registered through February 10th, 2018 to be eligible for other prizes.
